Objective To evaluate the effects of safety culture education for nursing students in clinical practice. Methods Totally 359 nursing students in clinical practice received 28-hour safety culture education in pre-job training period. In addition，the students participated in the meeting about safety risk analysis and nursing adverse events. The students?蒺 safety culture knowledge and awareness of adverse events were compared before and 3 months after training. The incidence of nursing adverse events in the first 6 months in clinical practice was compared before and after the practice. Results The students?蒺 safety culture knowledge and awareness of nursing adverse events at 3 months after training was better than before（P<0.01）. The incidence of nursing adverse events in the first 6 months in clinical practice decreased（P<0.05）. Conclusion College and teaching hospitals should actively provide safety culture education for nursing students to improve their safety culture knowledge and awareness of nursing adverse events and reduce the incidence of nursing adverse events.
