Although there are established methodological guidelines for systematic reviews of outcome measurement instruments（OMIs），the quality and reporting of these reviews remain inconsistent，therefore，hindering the selection of the most appropriate OMIs. To address this issue，the COSMIN Working Group introduced the PRISMA-COSMIN Reporting Guideline，designed to enhance transparency and consistency in systematic reviews of OMIs. This paper outlines the background and development process of the PRISMA-COSMIN guidelines and provides a detailed interpretation of the reporting standards. The aim is to assist domestic researchers in understanding the reporting requirements for systematic evaluations of OMIs and to improve the quality of such reviews continuously.
