Objective To establish the framework of core competence in informatics for nurses in China,and to provide references for the training and evaluation of nurses’ information ability. Methods Through literature review and group discussion,the draft of the framework of core competence was formed. From July 2023 to October 2023,14 experts from 11 provinces in China were consulted by questionnaire using Delphi method. Results Two rounds of expert consultation were conducted,and the effective recovery rates were 100% and 93%,respectively. The framework of core competence in informatics of nurses consisted of three dimensions(computer ability,information ability and comprehensive application ability),40 secondary indexes and 77 tertiary indexes. The experts’ authority coefficient was 0.918,and the Kendall’s W coordination coefficient was 0.151. The importance score of dimensions ranged from 4.77 to 5.00,with a coefficient of variation ranged from 0 to 0.09. The importance score of secondary indexes ranged from 3.92 to 5.00,with a coefficient of variation ranged from 0 to 0.19. The importance score of the tertiary indexes ranged from 4.31 to 5.00,with a coefficient of variation ranged from 0 to 0.17. Conclusion The framework of core competence in informatics of nurses constructed in this study is scientific,reliable and practical,and can provide references for the training and evaluation of informatics competency of nurses in China.
