Construction of training contents of nursing informatics competency for nurses

Objective To construct a scientific and normative training contents of nursing informatics competency for nurses. Methods A draft of the training contents was formed through literature review and focus group meeting. Fourteen nursing informatics experts from 10 provinces and cities in China were invited to conduct two rounds of consultation for final contents finalization. Results The response rate of the two rounds of Delphi was 100%. The expert authority coefficient was 0.91. The Kendall’s W of the two rounds of expert consultation was 0.210 and 0.350 respectively（P<0.001）. The established training contents were composed of 3 parts:basic theoretical knowledge,professional skills and relevant professional ability. The contents included 10 first-level items such as nursing informatics knowledge,nursing information system development and professional leadership and 33 second-level items such as clinical nursing information needs collection and analysis,a multidisciplinary team cooperation model and the patent application strategy and achievements transformation. Conclusion The training contents of nursing informatics competency for nurses are scientific,which can provide reference for cultivating talents in nursing informatics field.
