The development and psychometric properties testing of the Undergraduate Nursing Classroom Teaching Quality Scale
Objective To develop and evaluate the reliability and validity of the Undergraduate Nursing Classroom Teaching Quality Scale. Methods Based on Kano model,the initial scale was designed through literature review. The items of the scale were revised and finalized through experts consultation and pilot investigation. By using convenient sampling,238 freshmen and sophomores in a university were selected in December 2019 to evaluate the construct validity and internal consistency of the Undergraduate Nursing Classroom Teaching Quality Scale.An expert panel（n=11） was used to evaluate the content validity of the scale. Results The Undergraduate Nursing Classroom Teaching Quality Scale had 16 items including 4 dimensions of teacher quality,pre-class design,classroom vitality,and after-class reflection. The S-CVI of the total scale was 0.954,and I-CVI of each item was from 0.818 to 1.The exploratory factor score extracted 4 common factors and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 65.487%. By confirmatory factor analysis,the scale had good fitness with χ 2/df=2.536,RMSEA（0.080）,CFI（0.974）,NFI（0.959）,RFI（0.943）,IFI（0.974）,TLI（0.965）. The Cronbach’s α coefficient was 0.892,and Cronbach’s α coefficient of each dimension was 0.886~0.974. Conclusion The Undergraduate Nursing Classroom Teaching Quality Scale has a good reliability and validity,and it can be used as a tool to evaluate the undergraduate nursing classroom teaching quality.
