The association between eHealth literacy and health promoting lifestyle in high risk population of type 2 diabetes
Objective To investigate the current status eHealth literacy and health promoting lifestyle in high risk population of diabetes,and to explore the association between them. Methods A total of 200 individuals at high risk of diabetes mellitus were investigated with the eHealth Literacy Scale(eHEALS) and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-Ⅱ(HPLP-Ⅱ). Results The average score of eHEALS of these individuals was 25(18,32). The average score of HPLP-Ⅱ was(142.52±19.05).There was a positive correlation between electronic health literacy and health promoting lifestyle(r=0.369,P<0.001). Conclusion The level of health promoting lifestyle of high risk population of diabetes is good. However,the level of eHealth literacy is general. The eHealth literacy is positively related to health promoting lifestyle.
