Objective To explore the experience of life reconstruction of older bladder cancer patients with urinary stoma. Methods Ten older patients with urinary stoma were interviewed with semi-structured questions. Colaizzi analysis was used to analyze the data and summarize the themes. Results The experience of older adults with urinary stoma was summarized as five main themes：Negative psychological period（sense of fear,loneliness,and burden）;awakening period（change brought by chance）;desiring period（life recognition）;adaptation period （psychosocial adaptation）;stable period（post-traumatic growth）. Conclusion The older patients with urinary stoma have serious psychological pressure in the process of life reconstruction. Nurses can explore and provide tailored continuous care according to patients' physiological and mental state and needs in different stages,so as to help patients complete life reconstruction as soon as possible.
