Objective To explore the effects of a blended teaching in clinical teaching of Neurology for higher vocational nursing students. Methods The students in the Neurology Department were divided into the control group and the interventional group. Offline teaching was used in the control group while the “online + offline” blended teaching was used in the interventional group. Offline teaching covered one-to-one clinical teaching and class teaching. Online teaching was carried out through online teaching platform. The teaching assignments，learning，and assessment were all released through the platform. Students could learn the related knowledge through the platform. Instructors could check the learning results during clinical practice. The examination results and teaching satisfaction of the students in the two groups were compared and evaluated. Results The mean examination score of the interventional group was 88.23±2.60 which was significantly higher than that of the control group（83.96±4.58）（P<0.01）. The learning effects and satisfaction of students in the interventional group were significantly higher than those of the control group（P<0.01）. Conclusion The blended teaching can effectively improve the quality of clinical teaching and satisfaction of nursing students in the Neurology Department.
