Abstract: Objective  To investigate work related negative emotional experience and coping strategies among nurses in burn units. Methods  Sixty-seven nurses in burn units were invited to participate in the interview. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi?蒺s analysis method. Results  Three themes of work related negative emotional experience were extracted，including heavy job pressure，mental stress and stressful working atmosphere. The nurses?蒺 coping strategies against negative emotions were limited. Conclusion  Nursing administrators should pay more attention to nurses?蒺 emotional experience，improve nurse staffing and create a harmonious working environment to stabilize nurse team in burn units.
