The effects of video recording and feedback in the practice teaching of nurse interpersonal communication

Abstract:  Objective  To explore the methods and effects of video recording and feedback in the practice teaching of nurse interpersonal communication. Methods  The process of nurse interpersonal communication practice was recorded by videos among undergraduate nursing students in Grade 2011. Then,the videos were analyzed to find out the problems in nurse interpersonal communication. The teaching outcomes were evaluated by questionnaires. Results  Most students reported that this teaching method could improve their communication skills(97.1%),stimulate learning interest(92.8%),promote the change from passive learning to active learning(94.2%). Conclusion  Video recording and feedback achieves good teaching outcomes in the practice teaching of nurse interpersonal communication. It deserves to be tried in other courses.
