Innovative practices in the joint training model for the Peking University-Macao Polytechnic University “3+1” Bachelor’s Nursing Program

In order to implement the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development strategy，promote the construction of a Healthy Bay Area，and strengthen the cultivation of high-level nursing talents in Macao，Peking University and Macao Polytechnic University jointly established “Peking University Health Science Center-Macao Polytechnic University Nursing Academy” in 2021 under the direct leadership of national ministries and the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The project involves collaborative efforts in undergraduate nursing education in Macao. This paper summarizes the innovative practices and achievements of the project over three-years，and establishes the “3+1” nursing undergraduate training model of “one core，two advantages，and three stages” of cooperation. Through comprehensive integration，the project provides a new paradigm for educational cooperation and joint medical talents training in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
