Abstract

Objective To systematically evaluate and integrate the qualitative studies on the experience of cancer patients using mobile health tools in order to provide references for improving the mobile health tools technology. Methods To collect qualitative studies on the experience of cancer patients using mobile medical tools, we searched databases including Web of Science, PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Scopus, CNKI, SinoMed, Wanfang database, and CQVIP. The search period is from the establishment of the database to February 2022. Results A total of 13 studies were included. Thirty-three clear research results were extracted, which were summarized into ten new categories. Finally, four integrated results were obtained:the benefits of using mobile health tools for cancer patients, the challenges of using mobile health tools, influencing factors of using mobile health tools, and expectations and preferences for using mobile health tools. Conclusion Healthcare professionals should pay attention to and understand the experience of using mobile tools among cancer patients enhance technologies according to patients’ wishes and feedback, enrich functions, and further guide and standardize their use of mobile health tools.
