The choice of theoretical framework in nursing research

Theoretical framework plays an important role in nursing research. This paper introduced the related definition and function of “theoretical framework”，as well as the recommendations and criteria for choosing an appropriate theoretical framework. The aim of this paper is to provide reference for nursing researchers to understand the role of theoretical framework in different types of research correctly，and choose an appropriate theoretical framework according to the research question and objective during research practice.
