A survey of the current situation of nursing information competency among undergraduate nursing students
Objective To understand the status and influencing factors of nursing undergraduates’ information ability,and to provide basis for the cultivation of nursing information ability of undergraduate nursing students. Methods 1098 nursing students from 4 nursing colleges and universities were surveyed by SANICS. Results The total nursing information ability of nursing undergraduates was（70.19±15.82）,which was below the medium level. The influencing factors of nursing information ability were grade,national computer rank examination level,clinical practice,nursing information related courses and contact with nursing information system. Conclusion Undergraduate nursing students in clinical information roles,nursing attitude information,the application of computer skills and wireless equipment skills still have larger space to improve. The clinical nursing education workers should develop as soon as possible nursing information ability training scheme,course content and the informatics inorder to promote the development of higher education for nursing informatics in China.
